After a glorious October, November has brought its usual mixture of light frosts, bright chilly skies and some decent (and much needed) rain. December, as usual, is likely to be that much warmer, but for now the autumn colours and early morning mists (which burn off quickly enough just about everywhere other than at Bergerac airport - chosen as a site more for its flatness than metrological suitability) make for a very different landscape.

Though the lead up to Christmas is likely to be that bit quieter, it has been a very busy year - and with the appointments diary for January already filling up, a good opportunity to deal with a lengthy round to it list.
