As hoped for, February has brought with it unbroken blue skies and afternoon temperatures in the high teens. And with the garden waking from its winter slumber, the first of the spring bulbs and the earliest hawthorn blossom are putting in a welcome appearance. Time then to dust off the mower, persuade the strimmer to start and close off the most distant paddocks before the horses (plenty fat enough already) find the new grass.

And after a quieter January than is the norm, the last few weeks have proved every bit as active at La Porte as in the pre Christmas period, both with buying clients and a range of new properties coming to the market.
