Dear Friends,
The unusually mild start to the month has now made way for some (much needed) late Autumn rain (October’s showers having not amounted to much), and the lure of sitting in front of the fire -rather than doing something useful outside- is hard to resist. An object lesson too for those who left ordering their logs ‘til the clocks changed, and are now faced with the choice of shelling out for overpriced offcuts or traipsing through the woodland gloom to gather their own. Probably a good time then to call in a favour from your neighbouring farmer (who’s got loads) and remind him of all the free hay he’s had from your fields. Been there, done that.
And with Christmas just a few weeks away, the housing market is taking its customary pause for breath. That said, the appointments diary is already filling up for the start of the new year, so it’s a good opportunity for us both to catch up on lengthy ‘round to it’ lists and reflect on our best year to date.
As ever, we invite you to look at our new selection of properties for sale - full details of which you can find on our website (www.laporteproperty.com). Please contact us if you’d like more information on any of them.
Best wishes,
Simon
