After a surprisingly cool start to the month, May has now returned to its normal self, with peerless blue skies and warm evenings. And with summer proper just a few weeks away, Monpazier is gearing up for the tourist season. The Thursday market fills the main square and – the odd grey day aside – the balmy weather is already bringing a lot of visitors to our pretty bastide.
And, as has been the case for some months now, there’s a lot of activity in the housing market too, with a wide range of properties – some only recently on sale – finding cash buyers. And with a high level of interest from both from the EU and overseas in French countryside property, it’s a trend we expect to continue.
