On the eighth day – Chapter 2 ; Verses 1 - 3

And thus, followed dutifully by his acolytes, Hollandé did make his progress to the palace, there both to take the crown that was rightfully his and bid farewell to the evil priest Sarko. The procession did then pass through the streets and the sky did turneth black. And such rain did fall that, perched atop his modest cart, the new messiah’s robes became sodden. He raged silently, vowing never again to be persuaded to useth such a cart and eschew the fleet of black chariots to which he was more accustomed.

And the messiah did so take up the mantle of power and was summoned that same day to visit the queen of Germanicus. But lo, his procession was struck by a bolt of brightest white from the storm raging above and did return home once more. Thus did he mount the steps to the queen’s palace much later than his messenger had promised and the queen did well to hideth her displeasure, for news had already reached her ears that the Ioanians had chosen not a new ruler.

And as with their queen, the money changers were sore afraid; for their tables did groan with the weight of parchment scrolls given unto them as promise’d surety for the talents that the Ioanians had borrowed. And the Ioanians did say that they needed yet more of Germanicus’s silver and without it could repayeth not that already borrowed.

And all the peoples of the kingdoms who had unknowingly so given, understoodeth not the complexities of such trade. Yet the messiah and the queen did promise that such monies would be returne’d, showing not the crossed fingers behind their backs.
