La Porte Newsletter | January 2012Dear Friends, Happy New Year! We hope that you all had a good Christmas, eaten hugely and consumed more than the normal number of sherries and are now looking forward to an exciting New Year. Hopefully you have made a long list of resolutions for 2012, including to come and buy a house in our beautiful part of southwest France! At La Porte we had a brief break and are now back to work with a vengeance. We have had an extremely busy start to the year with a very large number of enquiries from potential buyers, including a couple of sales already. We believe this reflects our view that there are buyers and investors out there preferring to put their money in bricks and mortar rather than to leave it in the bank in this unstable market. For British buyers the Pound has risen in strength against the Euro which gives them more buying power when purchasing their dream French house. Here is a selection of recent properties we have taken on. And of course there are lots more on our website. Best wishes for 2012 and we look forward to seeing you.
