Dear Friends,
With Christmas fast approaching and Monpazier’s lights now strung across the streets (complete with surprisingly 21st century ‘waterfall’ effect ones hung over the arches), it’s feeling suitably seasonal. And even though Pere Noel’s annual visit to the primary school and market is just around the corner, it’s stayed bright, sunny and dry (much to the disappointment of those under 10, whose snowballing ambitions look likely to be thwarted once again). Knowing that January’s weather is likely to be rather different (and what it’s like at the moment further north too), we’re aware how lucky we are - and intend to make the most of it while we can.
