So the rain dance worked, and after some healthy downpours, suddenly everything’s green again. All rather less fun for those on holiday – especially if they’ve chosen the camping option or forgotten their kagoole. Or both. Anyway, in between showers it’s plenty warm enough, particularly so for hardy northern Europeans - and positively tropical in comparison to their childhood holidays on some windswept beach, complete with force 7 winds and an ambient temperature so low their ice cream was more likely to inflict frostbite than melt..
