Dear Friends,
With the Christmas lights up, the tree in the square decorated by the primary school and the restaurants open again after their November break, the village now feels suitably festive. And alongside the usual fare, enthusiastically priced Holly wreaths and fresh shellfish make their annual appearance at the weekly market (though both seem better value after a few glasses of vin chaud under the arcade). But even if you do arrive home with an emptier than expected wallet, it’s all hugely more appealing than fighting over the last parking space or ‘Frozen’ action figure at your local hyper store.
And congratulations to the La Porte Property TREC team who upped their game this year to win the Club Elite section at the Beaumont Equestrian Centre’s Christmas competition. A score of 295 out of a potential 300 proved impossible to beat – well done horses and riders.
